To track Google events on your Elementor website you need to have Google Analytics or Google Measurement id installed on your website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Find Google Measurement id<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Log into your Google Analytics<\/a> account and follow the steps –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Click on Admin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Click on Data Streams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Then click on the property you want to get the measurement id of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Then, you\u2019ll find the Measurement id. Copy the id and save it in a notepad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add Google Measurement id using The Plus Addons for Elementor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To add the Google Measurement id using The Plus Addons for Elementor follow the steps – <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: If you\u2019ve added Google Analytics or Google Measurement id on your website using any other method or plugin then you don\u2019t need to follow this step.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Go to The Plus Settings<\/strong> > Extra Options<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Scroll down to Google Analytics (Tracking) Id<\/strong> section and add the measurement id then click on the Save<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you\u2019ve added the Google Measurement id, you can use buttons, forms or any custom links to track the events. So, for instance, add a button widget on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Go to Advanced<\/strong> > Plus Extras : Events Tracker<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Turn on the Google Analytics<\/strong> 4<\/strong> toggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. In the Event Type<\/strong> dropdown, you\u2019ll find two options –\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Custom<\/strong> – For tracking custom events<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here we\u2019ll select Recommended<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. In the Select Event<\/strong> dropdown, you\u2019ll find all the GA4 Recommended events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the event you want to track. Let\u2019s suppose we want to track purchase events, so select Purchase from the dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Then from the Event Properties<\/strong> section, you can add custom properties to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the item here you\u2019ll find two fields – <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Name<\/strong> – For adding a custom label to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Value<\/strong> – For adding a custom value to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can click the + ADD ITEM<\/strong> button to add multiple custom properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s suppose we are selling multiple e-books so we can add the book name and value in the Name and Value fields respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. In Google Analytics 4 it can take up to 24 hrs to show the events in the analytics. So to check the event instantly to know if it is working or not, install the Google Analytics Debugger<\/a> Chrome extension.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Open the page in Chrome and turn on the Google Analytics Debugger extension. Reload the page and click on the button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: Make sure your ad blockers are disabled, and you\u2019re not using brave browser. You can also <\/em>read steps to do if your debug view isnt working. <\/em><\/a>all<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

8. Now go to your Google Analytics then go to Admin > DebugView, here you\u2019ll see the events live. You\u2019ll also see your event’s custom properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
